With a 24/7 news cycle and demands to effectively communicate impacting every branch of municipal work, her "Mastering the Media" course became the cornerstone of her training work. The American Library Association (ALA), American Public Works Association (APWA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) have all been satisfied clients. Local and regional government entities, such as the Florida Municipal Clerks Association, New England Parks and Recreation, Wisconsin Library Association and City of North Port, Florida have contracted Brenda to motivate their respective workforces.
A mix of professional skill development and personal growth initiatives distinguish ME Seminars, as does the unique heart for public servants that is the springboard from which Brenda Viola teaches. "Nothing makes me happier than to see the spark return in the eyes of a dedicated employee," she adds. "I've been there. I know the difference encouragement can make. And I consider it a privilege to serve those who so selflessly serve our communities with excellence."
For several years, an outlet for this desire to encourage others has been her inspirational blog or her 10,000+ member Facebook community. A Philadelphia-area native, she currently resides in Sarasota, Florida and enjoys year-round sunshine, a close-knit community of good friends, and relishes down-time to enjoy a good book or the latest airing of This Is Us.
